What is Love Phase 2
The ‘What is Love: Phase 2' Emma House Gala is a night where we will come together and celebrate the many faces of Emma House and the diversity among us.
The women whose lives are transformed through the caring support, services and education provided by Emma Maternity House Society come from all cultures and backgrounds. This night, we celebrate them and look forward to sharing with you: their struggles, their hard work, and finally - their achievements throughout their Emma House journey. As with this year's International Day of Women 2020, we endeavour every day to improve our women's situations and to celebrate their victories.
Join us for an evening of celebrating and uplifting mothers who have overcome a multitude of barriers and connecting with other leaders, entrepreneurs, and businesses. Together, let's network and leverage joint resources for a common cause: to end homelessness among mothers and babies in Calgary and area. We also have some very exciting updates for 2020 to share with you!
This will also be a very special evening of sharing exciting new developments and truly the next phase of Emma House in 2020!
With special guest speaker, the Honourable Rebecca Shulz.
Rebecca Shulz, Alberta's Minister of Children's Services, is a communications professional with experience ranging across sectors - from energy to education in two prairie provinces. Honourable Shulz has a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University. Eager to advocate for policies that protect and support vulnerable children, she is focused on ensuring that all Alberta children have the best opportunities to succeed. Minister Shulz and her husband raise two children in south Calgary.
The event also includes a 4-course meal, stories from past Emma House residents, live musical performances, and a cash bar.
